Acorn Ponds & Waterfalls of Rochester, New York (NY) is owned and operated by Thomas Warmerdam and for over 25 years Tom has been installing beautiful landscape designs and water features all over the Rochester, Monroe County NY area and is on-site for every job to make sure the process goes smoothly. We build natural looking, ecologically friendly, low maintenance water gardens for aquatic plants, fish and wildlife but more importantly for people, and we want to work with you to design and build the garden you’ve been dreaming about.

Since 2004 Tom has attended every Pondemonium at Aquascape headquarters in Chicago, Ill. During this event pond contractors learn more about designing, constructing and maintaining ponds and waterfalls. Pond contractors work together and unite during these events to construct all types of ponds and water features. Through many hours of classroom learning and hands on training we don't have to experiment in our clients yards because we have been trained and certified by the largest pond building company in North America, Aquascape Inc.

Some of the pond installations we have worked on include commercial size waterfall ponds at golf courses, parks, hotels, The Shedd Aquarium and several types of water features at the Lincoln Park Zoo including pondless waterfalls, bubbling boulders, adding a wetland and biological filtration system to a lake and even a farm retention pond. We have also participated in waterfall building contests where Acorn Ponds & Waterfalls once received honorable mention for their work.

During these learning events, Certified Aquascape Contractors will attend workshops that discuss everything you can think of when it comes to designing, installing and maintaining ponds and water gardens. In order to retain certification, it is required that we attend these events. And we want to learn all we can so we can help you create the water garden that you have been dreaming about.
